Trip Cancellation: May reimburse a traveler’s prepaid, non-refundable trip costs if they cancel their trip for a covered reason. Common covered reasons include unforeseen illnesses and injuries, death of a family member, and natural disasters.

Trip Interruption: May reimburse unused travel expenses if a traveler if forced to end their trip early for a covered reason. Trip Interruption coverage may also cover additional transportation expenses incurred to return home.

Emergency Medical: Covers the cost of unforeseen medical care and expenses while traveling, such as x-rays, ambulance rides, and hospital bills. Since most primary health insurance plans don’t offer coverage overseas, this benefit is especially valuable for International travelers.

Medical Evacuation: If a treating physician deems it necessary, this benefit may cover the cost of an emergency evacuation to another hospital or back to the traveler’s home country.

Travel Delay: May cover meal and accommodation expenses if a traveler experiences a significant delay. Most plans set minimum delay requirements that must be met before coverage kicks in, which can range 3-12 hours.

Missed Connection: Can reimburse travelers unused trip expenses if they miss a connecting flight. Travelers may also be reimbursed the cost of additional transportation expenses to catch up to their original travel plans.

Baggage Delay: Provides coverage to travelers whose luggage is delayed en route to their destination. Travelers may be eligible for reimbursement for toiletries, clothes, and other necessities.

Baggage & Personal Items Loss: May reimburse travelers the cost of their personal items if their luggage is stolen, lost, or damaged at any point during their trip. Most plans set daily and per item maximum reimbursement limits.
